SUMMARY:Group Crisis Intervention (Pryor\, OK)
DESCRIPTION:GROUP CRISIS INTERVENTION is PHASE 2 of the “Initial Peer Support Training” / Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM). GROUP CRISIS INTERVENTION is a 2-day course which prepares the Peer to provide CISM interventions of Critical Incident Stress Debriefings (CISD)\, Defusing\, Crisis Management Briefings (CMB)\, Strategic Planning and other strategies useful in Group situations. \nThe need for appropriate follow-up services and referrals post-incident\, when necessary\, will also be discussed during these training courses. \nThis course is designed for First Responders and Mental Health Professionals who assist other First Responders and their families in dealing with job-related Stress and Trauma. \nATTENTION: The PREREQUISITE to attend this Group Crisis Intervention training is the 2-day course titled ASSISTING INDIVIDUALS in CRISIS which is PHASE 1 of the process required to become a trained “Peer Support Responder”. \nCLEET CE 16 hr and 2 hr MH
