SUMMARY:Hold the Line Train the Trainer with Cyndi Doyle
DESCRIPTION:HOLD THE LINE is the Train-the-Trainer program for departments and organizations that deep dives into the information and model outlined in author Cyndi Doyle’s book\, Hold the Line: The Essential Guide to Your Law Enforcement Relationship. This modular step-by-step program includes one-of-a-kind curricula and proprietary workbooks supported with PowerPoint. Each of the 1-hour modules includes lectures\, discussions\, activities\, and quizzes for evaluation. Participants will receive all necessary presentation materials after successful completion of the 2-day course. \nImpact your officers’ mental and relational health\, safety\, and resilience by positively impacting their greatest support system\, their relationships! Officer mental health can impact department staffing\, safety\, image\, and budgets. Officers with happy and stable lives at home are less likely to experience distraction on the job. Relationship wellness is essential to the safety of officers. \nEducate officers and spouses to understand the root causes of problems with communication\, mindset\, conditioning\, connection\, and burnout that can be attributed to a career in law enforcement resulting in relational and emotional hiccups. Train couples to recognize behaviors and negative habits/tendencies that serve as warnings for mental health issues. Empower couples with techniques and solutions to open lines of communication\, reduce stress\, and increase relational and emotional wellness through true courage and resilience. \nCYNDI DOYLE\, LPC-S\, NCC\, CSIM\, CDWF\nCyndi Doyle is a board-certified\, licensed professional counselor\, wife of a retired law enforcement officer of 21 years\, and subject matter expert on law enforcement relationships and mental health. Author of Hold the Line: The Essential Guide to Your Law Enforcement Relationship and host of the Code4Couples® podcast. Cyndi learned the hard way that a career in law enforcement can affect not only the officer but the spouse and relationship as well.

As physical first aid is to surgery\, crisis intervention is to psychotherapy. Thus\, crisis intervention is sometimes called “emotional first aid.” Designed to present the core elements of a comprehensive\, systematic\, and multi-component crisis intervention curriculum\, this course will prepare participants to understand a wide range of crisis intervention services for both individuals and groups. Fundamentals of Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) will be outlined\, and participants will leave with the knowledge and tools to provide several group crisis interventions\, specifically demobilizations\, defusing’s\, and the Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD). The need for appropriate follow-up services and referrals\, when necessary\, will also be discussed. \nThis course is designed for anyone in the fields of Business & Industry Crisis Intervention\, Disaster Response\, Education\, Emergency Services\, Employee Assistance\, Healthcare\, Homeland Security\, Mental Health\, Military\, Spiritual Care\, and Traumatic Stress. \nThree-Day Course / 27 Contact Hours Missouri POST

SUMMARY:Surviving and Thriving Your Career as a 1st Responder
DESCRIPTION:This course identifies the biological and emotional reactions to workplace stress\, hypervigilance\, and trauma to illustrate the impact of a First Responders work environment. This course discusses a person’s support foundation upon entering their career and how it has changed both positively and negatively over time. It also explores the effects of job-related trauma and stress\, hypervigilance\, and multiple methods of how to take control of your “off-duty” time. \nThe course is for all disciplines of First Responders (i.e. Firefighter / Law Enforcement / EMS / Communications / First Responder Support Staff\, etc) who may have different assignments and duties during any major events\, or the Cumulative Trauma of multiple smaller events yet still produce the “Common Reactions to Stress and Trauma” which could potentially impact a First Responder and their family members. Resources and various techniques to assist the First Responder in their journey to improve their mental and physical wellness are also provided. \nCLEET CE 2hrs / 2 Hrs Mental Health
