Warrior’s Rest Foundation First Responder Mental Health and Wellness Training provides dynamic instructors presenting relevant topics to first responders about traumas experienced from critical incidents. The students will learn from the instructors:

How to immediately implement best practices techniques for their mental health as a First Responder

Discuss and address the impact of trauma on a First Responder

Discuss and implement psychological first aid after the mental health crisis of a critical incident

Learn how to identify warning signs of suicidal ideation

Define and discuss the signs of Post Traumatic Stress Injury and/or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

Discuss the stigma First Responders face when asking for mental health help

Identify healthy coping mechanisms as part of their work/life routine so it will be part of their resiliency when in a mental health crisis

This course is recommended to all First Responders, First Responder Supervisors / Command Staff, Corrections, and Dispatchers. Chaplains and Clinicians who work with First Responders are highly encouraged to attend.
