Surviving and Thriving: Your Career in Corrections

This course provides common reactions to workplace stress as well as the impact of potential traumas experienced in the life of a First Responder in Corrections. The course challenges students to assess their resiliency prior to starting their First Responder career, understand the adverse impact of hypervigilance, and identify any life changes because of their career. The students will then be provided with different methods on how to become intentional with their relationships and personal time, along with the benefits of healthy activities.

Time: 10:00 – 12:00

State Accreditation Hours: 2 hours of CLEET
